We are a Nurture Room in the Secondary Department of Lisanally School. There are 5 pupils in our class all aged between 13 and 14. As a Nurture Classroom, we have a kitchen area where the pupils practise making a snack, a living room area with soft seating where we can relax once we have completed our work which takes place in another designated area of the classroom. This is also where we enjoy a reflexology session.
So far this term we are enjoying getting out every morning for our daily mile walk. In Art, we have completed some very nice pieces of work for wall displays. For Home Economics, we have picked apples from our very own trees and have practised our peeling and cutting skills and made apple tarts and crumbles. We have just finished our class novel “Esio Trot” by Roald Dahl which we all enjoyed. We have also been busy doing horticulture; weeding raised beds and flower beds in the sensory garden and raking leaves.
