Class 11 have been busy with our topic Responding Responsibly and Easter.
We explored various aspects of our homes; firstly, different types of houses we live in and what types of houses are in the local area. We explored all the rooms, and the furniture that belong in each. Finally, we looked at safety in the home with a focus on staying safe in the kitchen.
In art we created a collage of different houses using various shapes, colours and textures. We celebrated St. Patricks day in style, coming together with our friends in Class 10 for a zoomed disco and enjoyed treats at break. We decorated our room with pots of gold at the end of spiralling rainbows, they look great. We all enjoyed World Book Day, where we had the opportunity to dress as a character. We had Captain America, Teenage Ninja Turtles and Elmo from Sesame Street in Class 11!
During Home Economics we were exploring cooking with eggs where we made omelettes, French toast and ‘egg in a cup’. Mother’s day was marked with painted bouquet of flowers on cards and heart shape crafts. Everyone is thoroughly enjoying the preparations for Easter beginning with an assembly from Class 2 telling the Easter story. Our clergy also very kindly appeared via video to deliver Easter messages and well wishes at this special time to all our staff and pupils. We decided to get creative for the Easter Play Day, making beautiful Easter wreaths of bright and colourful eggs. The Easter Bake off has been keeping us busy in Home Economics, where we have been mastering cupcakes. Fingers crossed for a win!!
Our cow boy hats and bonnets are dawning chicks, eggs and bunnies and are ready to go for the parade on the last day of term.
Happy Easter everyone.
Class 11 have had a busy few weeks with our current topic ‘Where in the World’. It has been a great opportunity for us to explore a different country each week; cooking and tasting the speciality foods, listening to music and looking at the landmarks etc. The countries we have looked at are Ireland, France, Italy, America and China. We are also busy with maths and literacy lessons, learning ‘money’ and building sentences in spoken and written work. Our class story was the ‘Girl who went to the Artic’ which was another opportunity to explore a different region and learn about artic conditions, animals and the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights). During our Daily Mile we have been building on our road safety awareness on how to cross the road safety. Thank you for visiting Class 11’s web page!
Class 11 have had a busy and fun filled term. In recent weeks we have been working very hard on our Christmas performance of Rocking Around the Christmas Tree, which we hope you will enjoy watching. We are now getting into the spirit of Christmas and have been enjoying all the festivities. We thoroughly enjoyed our play day, as well as arts and crafts, but the highlight was a visit from Santa himself!
Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and New Year, from Class 11.
Hello everyone and thank you for visiting our class page. Class 11 has 9 pupils; 7 boys and 2 girls. Ms. Ogilby is the class teacher and Fiona and Elaine are the classroom assistants.
We are all delighted to back to school and have been enjoying getting to know one another, as well as getting used to some changes in school.
Throughout the week we enjoy a range of activities such as Home Economics, Arts and Crafts and Sensory activities. Music is everyone's favourite though, as we love to dance or follow actions to our favourite songs. We hope you like our photos.
