Every morning the pupils come into class and work on their literacy and numeracy activities. Everyone has made excellent progress over the months in their individualised work.
The boys and girls favourite lesson is Attention Autism, during these sessions, we see lots of great interaction, waiting and turn taking. On Tuesdays we go the hydrotherapy pool. The boys and girls have made great progress in their pre-swimming skills and their confidence in the pool has improved substantially. Another popular activity is ball pool, everyone has great fun while developing their fine and gross motor skills. Jo Jingles joins us every term and we thoroughly enjoy the sessions.
Class 3 is a Key Stage 1 class. It is a lively and vibrant class, made up of four boys and three girls. The pupils are aged 5 and 6 years old. The teacher is Mrs Lisa Kennedy, and the classroom assistants are Mrs Adele Ritchie and Mrs Ethel Runnette.
The pupils are taught in a structured, supportive, and stimulating environment and experience a wide variety of activities and subjects. Some of the most popular activities that we do are art, going to the library, Attention Autism, Daily Mile, ball pool and swimming in our own hydrotherapy pool.
Each pupil is recognised as unique, and we work hard to ensure that a high quality education is provided and that it is differentiated to meet the needs of each pupil.
