KS2 pupils from Lisanally Special School and thirty KS1 pupils from Darkley will be working together on an Outdoor Play project. The link will be based on the story of The Gruffalo and will run from January to March. Throughout this link experiences will be provided which will develop both sets of pupils play skills/fine and gross motor skills/interpersonal skills and thinking skills and personal capabilities. This programme will focus on the development of play skills which will ultimately equip all pupils involved with lifelong learning skills.
Classes 4,5 & 6 will join pupils from the Armstrong & Mount St. Catherine’s Primary School to participate in the All Sets dance programme in January & February.
0n the 14th January the local Fire brigade spoke to pupils in the Primary Department about Fire safety at home. Pupils had the opportunity to sit in the Fire engine and have their photograph taken.
Class 5 consists of 4 boys and 3 girls. Our teacher is Mr Oldham and our classroom assistants are Margaret and Cathy. On a Monday we enjoy doing our Art work and our interactive morning roll call. On Tuesday we attend the Orchard Leisure Centre for Swimming. On a Wednesday we enjoy taking part in P.E with pupils and staff from Class 4 & 6. On Thursday we enjoy attending the café in school and working in our structured play area. On Friday we enjoy taking part in our class Circle Time together as a whole class and seeing our friends at assemblies. Class 5 is a very busy and enjoyable class and we hope you like looking through our pictures.
