What a busy but amazing time Class 5 have been having this year. We have delved deep into new themes including “Let’s go” where we explored different modes of transport through our work and enjoyed combining ingredients together to make new recipes during the theme “Let’s get cooking”. Our new topic is “The Zoo” and we have loved exploring different prints and textures of animals, searching through Jungle in Structured Play and exploring the sea creatures during water play.

Everyone continues to work so hard during their independent work and holistic development. During the week we participate in activities such as; tooth brushing routines, explore the daily mystery box through our senses, complete class jobs and engage during group opportunities like Attention Autism sessions! Last term, we had two very exciting visits; The Eureka Science experience and the Planetarium inflatable Dome. We loved becoming scientists to create different experiments and learning all about the planets and solar systems.

We have kept very active this year during ball pool visits, daily mile walks and PE with Class 4. We especially loved having the Soccer coaches in as we developed our hand-eye co-ordination and ball skills. This term, we are enjoying gymnastics and group games. Each Thursday, we look forward to Hydro Pool where everyone always has great fun, working on their pre-swimming and gross motor skills.

We cannot wait to continue the fun and learning this last term!
