We were very excited about showing are parents the range of activities in our classroom when we welcomed them to a ‘Stay and Play’ session. This was a great opportunity for the parents to see how well the boys and girls have settled into EYP and the fun filled tasks they do on a daily basis.
All the boys and girls had a very magical Christmas in EYP. On Monday 16th December, Santa came to visit Lisanally’s Santa’s Grotto. Each pupil received a wonderful present from Santa and had a snack in our school café. We had a range of exciting play activities in our classroom, we were busy being Santa’s Little Elves from building and wrapping presents to putting the decorations on the Christmas tree.
Welcome to the Early Years Project for the academic year 2019/2020. Our EYP consists of two groups, a morning group and an afternoon group. Our morning class has 5 pupils and our afternoon class has 3 pupils, aged between 3 and 4. Our class teacher is Miss Gilbert and our classroom assistants are Ethel and Roisin.
The Early Years Project is a fun-filled way for young pupils to learn together through play and develop their functional abilities. We aim to have a nurturing classroom where the boys and girls feel safe, secure and have a love for learning. We are provided with many opportunities to learn and play from a wide range of activities that involve indoor and outdoor play such as role play, structured play, table top activities, gross and fine motor play, sensory activities such as exploring and experiencing sand, water and other textures. Our weekly programme also allows us to enjoy swimming in the hydro pool, the ball pool, visits to the library, the school café, Art, PE and horticulture.
EYP is a very pleasant and fun learning environment and we hope you enjoy looking at our class photos that illustrate some of our weekly activities.
