EYP have been busy settling into school this term. We have really enjoyed our theme of 'On the Farm', especially exploring the different farm animals and the noises they make. We took part in Anti-bullying week and Science Experiment Day recently too which we found really interesting. From the start of December, we have had Santa's workshop set up in the classroom and pupils have been designing, building, wrapping and posting presents for Santa!! In between having lots of fun playing, we have been practising for our virtual Christmas nativity which we hope you all enjoy watching before the Christmas break. Merry Christmas!
Welcome to the Early Years Project for the academic year 2021/2022. Our EYP consists of two groups, both currently running in the afternoon.
One group has 4 boys and the other class has 2 girls and 1 boy, all aged between 3 and 4 years old. Our class teachers are Mrs Carolyn McVeigh and Miss Bronagh McAleer. Our classroom assistants are Gráinne, Fiona and Haleigh.
The Early Years Project is a fun-filled way for young pupils to learn together through play and develop their functional abilities. We aim to have a nurturing classroom where the boys and girls feel safe, secure and have a love for learning. We are provided with many opportunities to learn and play from a wide range of activities that involve indoor and outdoor play. Also this year, we get practical home learning packs to complete with the support of our families.
EYP is a child-centred and fun learning environment and we hope you enjoy looking at our class photos that illustrate some of our daily activities.
