Both of our VTU classes recently visited Shannagh More Outdoor Learning Centre in Newcastle. The group stayed for three days and two nights and experienced an amazing range of activities including an adventure walk, tunnelling, night walks along Newcastle promenade, canoeing and orienteering in Castlewellan Maze. The children enjoyed time around the campfire in the forest where they toasted marshmallows, drank hot chocolate and had time to relax in Shannaghmore’s outdoor hammock in the beautiful outdoor scenery. During our time away we celebrated a very happy birthday girl ???? We also had a special visit from Ms Flynn on our first evening, she generously treated us to some ice cream from Nugelato, everyone loved this! A massive thank you to Shannagh More staff who made our trip a very special one to remember ????
