Both KS2 and KS3 pupils visited the Museum in Armagh to extend their learning within the subjects of World Around Us and Environment and Society. The pupils attended the workshop, Playing through Time where they were given the opportunity to handle and play with old and new toys. The workshop invited the pupils to examine the materials that toys in the past were made from compared to today. Pupils handled tinplate toys, wooden toys, teddy bears and dolls made from a variety of materials as well as clockwork/windup toys. At the end of the interactive workshop they had the choice to make either a peg doll or peg plane to take home.
