Walking Challenge for Action Cancer
On Monday 10th May – Friday 14th May, all pupils took part in a five-day walking challenge. We decided to set ourselves a goal to walk 40 miles which is 84,480 steps (the distance from Lisanally Special School to Belfast City) in 5 days! It was a perfect activity to celebrate National Walking Month in May and raise money for Action Cancer. Each class kept a log of steps they walked during their Daily Mile for the 5 days.
At the end of the week all classes had a combined total of 159,355 steps. As a whole school community, we managed to raise £310 for Action Cancer. Well done and a massive thank you to all involved and for the kind donations.
