Within the ICT Department this year we have been making great strides in developing our levels of equipment and improving our skills. We have invested heavily in ensuring all classes have at least two computers and two iPads as well as a teacher iPad. We have also a batch of iPads ready for any group activities that classes may wish to undertake.
We were delighted last year to be partnered with the AMMA centre here in Armagh, and entered into a number of collaborative projects in the use of Green Screen and apps such as Garage Band and ChatterPix.
As a follow up to this we have also invested in our own green screen frame and backdrop which classes will be able to use for their own projects in the future.
More recently, we were delighted to be approached by Loughgall and District Improvement Association who worked on our behalf to access a grant offered by ABC Council, to help with the purchase of equipment to aid any pupils that may have to self-isolate or learn from home due to Covid-19. We were delighted to accept a cheque which will be used to purchase iPads and other equipment. We welcomed Arnold Hatch from LAIDA & the recently appointed Mayor of Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon Council, Alderman Glenn Barr for the cheque presentation.
